Adelaide’s iconic literary festival brings together some of the world’s great writers and thinkers for a week of readings, discussions and debate. For more than 50 years Adelaide Writers’ Week has created a place where writers can connect with the community in a beautiful parkland setting. Children can now be a part of the action with a creative weekend designed especially for families.
Nest Studio will be there to share exciting picture books, paint with beautiful watercolours and play games as imaginative as they are educational. And something new for the big kids in 2014, experience the traditional publishing method of letterpress, faux lino cutting and screen printing at The Press Club. Following the philosophy of our weekly classes, these wonderfully creative sessions are sure to be enjoyed by all. Amazing books by author/illustrators such as Oliver Jeffers, Jon Klassen and Claudia Bolt will inspire the creation of gorgeous watercolour paintings for each child to take home. Bookings on site on the day.
Nylon Zoo, Mem Fox, Rhyme Time and the Story Tent will also be there as well as a delicious food tent and an onsight book shop!
