Nest Studio

Children participate in art activities to introduce and build on the concepts of colour, texture, composition and technique.

They will develop their fine motor and problem solving skills and become familiar with a variety of art materials.

Children are encouraged to use their wonderful imaginations and open up their eyes to really see the world around them.

Our classes run for a full public school term.

Next enrollment is for Term 2

May 2 - July 7

Term 2 is traditionally our time for sculpture in the studio. This term we will practice clay building techniques – making sure we have all the skills necessary to successfully fire a clay sculpture. As we consider drawing the underlying skill needed for creating and communication there will be ample opportunity for drawing skills to be practiced also.

As we did not get the chance to complete our wall mural from Term 1, the children will also get an opportunity to work on this during Term 2

We will also be exhibiting the children's double fired clay sculptures in the Annual SALA Festival, which is always a delight.
